"Look, No Fish"
Zambezi River, Zimbabwe

African Myth has it that when God felt it time to put the Hippo on earth He didn't want to, or couldn't possibly put them in the rivers and lakes. How could He? The hippo and crocodile would fight endlessly over fish. God being God found a solution. The Hippo agreed to never eat the fish in the rivers and lakes. Each day, he would open his great jaws to the sky, so that God could look down from above and know that the Hippo had kept his word.
